Guru Lee Banda

Defined as powers, the unification of will and fate. Lee’s achievements are a culmination of such an occurrence, a determined destiny.

1979 Lee at the age of thirteen, a quiet undisturbed nature, school, bullies, confrontation, attacked with an ancient bone, willed to the point of change. Awakened, television, Monkey, The Water Margin, Kung Fu-Grass Hopper, influenced, fate plays it’s part.

From this age Lee has never looked back, predominantly embracing an art personal to one’s self, pursuing knowledge and skill with relentless consistency and willingness to change, sharing to all with the desire to seek inner peace, confronting physical and mental occurrences with confidence.

Lee is today an IMB Academy Full Instructor supported with an impressive training lineage only 2nd removed from Bruce Lee in the art of Jeet Kune Do and 5th Degree Black Belt. His travels, global knowledge and competitiveness have earned him national & world titles in the art of Eskrima Kali Arnis (stick fighting) under Master Guba.

Lee’s extensive skills also include Muay Thai Kickboxing under Master Sken, considered Europe’s leading ambassador. In addition, Aikido, Shotokan Karate, Shaolin Longfist Kung Fu, Hsiu Lung Tao Kung Fu, Eskrido-Pangamut (combat judo) and Boxing. See his chronology here, ‘The Journey OF A Thousand Miles’.

This array of talent continues into the business arena. With the ambition to deliver the general public such a repertoire involving many facets, Lee opened ICE (International Combat and Exercise). Many students and instructors perhaps aptly described ICE as ‘sanctuary’ being it was in a converted church offering no less than 13 disciplines, a high-tech gym, combat ring, sauna and shop.

Whilst impressive it was Lee realised ICE was not simply about a place, or more so the reason why students joined. Taking ICE back to a personal level was necessary. ICE Black Belt Schools was formed and operates today across venues to suit all.

Lee’s students include the general public, police, military, and children whom he takes great pride in developing their confidence and skill.
